Free Iran Global Summit on July 17: Iranian Regime’s Fear of Overthrow by the People and the MEK Resistance Units
Mrs. Maryam Rajavi, the President-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran
In the current situation, the religious dictatorship in Iran fears the great uprising of November 2019 and the nightmare scenario of an escalation of the next uprising. The defiant youth and the Resistance Units have also terrified the mullahs’ regime with their continuous campaigns.

The Iranian Resistance has also rattled the mullahs by exposing the real dimensions of the Coronavirus tragedy in Iran and exposing the covert actions of the regime’s leaders in increasing the number of victims.

The fact is that the uprisings of November 2019 and January 2020 proved the Resistance Units’ strategy in cities across Iran. The mullahs continuously present the Resistance of Iran and the People’s Mojahedin (Mujahedin-e Khalq, PMOI or MEK) in Ashraf 3, Albania as the main threat to their regime.

The religious fascism in Iran, now surrounded by internal and external crises, in the final phase of its disgraceful life, is desperately trying to survive by demonizing and plotting terrorism against its democratic alternative – the MEK and the NCRI.

In this situation, the Iranian Resistance will send a message to the whole world through the Free Iran Global Summit on July 17, 2020, that the overthrow of the religious fascism and the central banker of terrorism and warmongering will occur. The summit is in solidarity with the Iran protests of the Iranian people and supports the Resistance Units inside the country.

At the Free Iran Global Summit, we commemorate the proud titles of the Iranian people and Resistance, as well as the historic uprising of July 21, 1952, and the anniversary of the establishment of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) in 1981. Also, on the occasion of the anniversary of the 1988 massacre of political prisoners, we commemorate the 30,000 martyrs, and we insist that the perpetrators of the massacre be brought to justice at the International Criminal Court.

As the leader of the Iranian Resistance, Mr. Massoud Rajavi has said: Khamenei and Rouhani have adopted a strategy of grand human casualties and sending people to the Coronavirus minefields to protect the regime from the danger of rebellion and overthrow in the face of sanctions. This is the continuation of the same anti-patriotic war and the massacre of prisoners in today’s conditions. If for the Velayat-e-Faqih regime, every death is an opportunity and a blessing, we must turn it into a potential for the overthrow of the regime with a hundred times more revolt and battle. The opportunity for the religious tyranny and the anti-human regime is over. The liberators are winning.

And as Maryam Rajavi, President-elect of the NCRI, said at an international conference on June 20:

The overthrow of the clerical regime remains the unyielding demand of the Iranian people. The uprisings in November 2019 and January 2020 represented the people’s burning commitment to implement it.

With their protests and strikes, and the activities and operations of Resistance Units, every day, the Iranian people move closer to overthrowing the regime.

It is for the realization of this goal that political prisoners continue to persevere in prisons across Iran and stand up to Khamenei’s henchmen.

It is up to the international community to hear this message:

We have always said and reiterated that this regime should not be allowed to obtain even a single bullet; it should not pocket even a single dollar in oil revenues, and it should not spend even a single dollar out of revenues that belong to the Iranian people.

The Iranian Resistance has also emphasized since a long time ago that it seeks the restoration of the six UN Security Council resolutions against the regime.

We emphasize the extension of international sanctions against any form of weapons trade with the regime.

The global community must recognize the right of rebellious youth, Resistance Units, and the Iranian people to resist against the religious tyranny.

The leaders of this regime must face justice in international courts for the killing of 120,000 children of the Iranian people, including the 1988 massacre of 30,000 political prisoners, and the killing of over 1,500 Iranian protesters in November 2019.
